Knitting in the News

More men bucking stereotypes, picking up knitting
from Chicago Tribune

Jarrett Matthews sits on a crowded bus in Queens, N.Y., quickly and delicately maneuvering a ball of mauve yarn with two knitting needles, creating the beginnings of a scarf. Two men climb aboard at the next stop and stare at Matthews in disbelief, one snickering while the other just shakes his head. Matthews, dressed in a black pinstripe suit, ignores them and concentrates on his knitting. "Only in New York could you see something like this," guffaws one of the men.
