'Doctor' Patterns Will Avoid Legal Action

A series of knitting patterns apparently modeled after creatures on the BBC series "Doctor Who" will not prompt legal action, the British broadcaster says. While BBC executives initially threatened to sue the 26-year-old woman behind the knitting patterns to stop her from dispersing her creations, they have now asked her to consider a sanctioned product line, The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.
